For much of my life, staying silent wasn’t just about holding back words—it was about not fully understanding or honoring the depth of my gifts as a healer, intuitive empath, and sensitive.
I’ve always felt things deeply. Of all the Clair Senses (more on those later), Clairsentience—the intuitive ability to feel what others are experiencing—and Claircognizance, a clear inner knowing that often arrives without explanation, have always been my strongest.
But for a long time, I questioned them.
Is this mine or theirs? Why do I suddenly feel anxious, heavy, or in pain when I didn’t feel that way just moments before?
And even when I had a knowing, I doubted it—Where is this insight coming from? Can I trust it?
I held back out of fear: fear of saying the wrong thing, of being misunderstood, of not knowing how to explain what I felt and knew.
And layered over that were old beliefs—messages like “we don’t talk about that” or “they burn witches at the stake”—that told me it wasn’t safe to speak my truth.
It’s taken years of gently unweaving those stories and remembering what’s mine.
Now, sharing my voice is how I honor the intuitive gifts I once tried to hide. It’s how I reconnect with myself—and how I serve others with love.
Expression is more than just words —it’s how we communicate our needs, boundaries, creativity, and even our spirituality.
Honoring yourself means giving voice to what matters, instead of holding it inside.
Honesty is love. Honesty is freedom.
But when we stay silent, suppressing our feelings, we create layers of stress and tension in the body. Resentment builds. Judgment lingers. We begin to dis-honor ourselves.
Give Yourself Permission to Speak
Instead of silence that stifles, choose words that clarify:
🌟 I feel… (naming your emotions)
🌟 I need… (honoring your boundaries)
🌟 I would like… (expressing your desires)
Silence has its sacred place in meditation, reflection, and time in nature.
But when it comes to self-expression, give yourself permission—every time.
What about you?
What helps you express yourself when something needs to be said or felt?
What tools help you express yourself? (Journaling, letter writing, movement, art… or something else?)
I’d love to hear—your insights might be exactly what someone else needs, feel free to share in the comments.
