We often talk about what it feels like to be in flow—aligned, inspired, spacious.
When synchronicity clicks into place. When everything just… works.
But what about when we're not?
Life feels heavier. Foggy. Nothing seems to land.
We push harder. We overthink.
We get stuck in the loop of trying to figure it all out, trying to force clarity.
And in doing so, we create more chaos.
It’s like running in a hamster wheel—moving fast but going nowhere.
or driving with one foot on the gas and the other on the brake.
Your shoulders tense. Your hands ache from gripping to tightly.
Frustration simmers just below the surface—until it erupts.
Sometimes, you can’t even name what’s wrong.
You just know you’re off.
The spark dims. The body tightens.
Even the things that once brought joy start to feel... flat.
This state isn’t wrong—it’s part of the cycle.
You're not broken.
You’re just out of rhythm. Out of resonance with your own energy.
You've drifted out of your lane.
And it’s okay.
It’s just information. A signal.
One I know intimately—and one I help my clients recognize and navigate all the time.
Several years ago, I worked at a spa for over two years. In the beginning, it felt right steady, supportive, aligned.
But then, something shifted. My schedule started thinning. The energy changed.
I asked the front desk if their marketing had shifted—“No, nothing’s changed.”
But something wasn’t sitting right.
The tension started building in my neck.
A few times, I found myself crying on the drive home, for what seemed like no reason. Well, my body was signaling something before my mind could catch up.
And then one day, a director said something to me. I don’t even remember the exact words—but I remember the feeling.
It hit me like a punch to the gut.
That moment clarified what my body already knew:
I was no longer in alignment with where I wanted to go.
The values that once felt shared no longer matched.
So I made the hard but necessary decision to leave.
That experience taught me something I now see in so many others:
When you ignore your inner signals for too long, the body whispers before it screams.
It speaks through tension, unease, emotions—long before the mind can make sense of it.
And when you honor that inner knowing, even when it asks you to let go or surrender,
you begin to steer yourself back into your lane—back into alignment.
Reflection Questions for You
When was the last time your body knew something before your mind did?
What did that whisper feel like—and what happened when you listened (or didn’t)?Can you recall a moment when everything looked “fine” on the outside, but inside you felt completely off?
What did that inner disconnect teach you? What patterns show up in your body when you’re pushing against the current instead of flowing with it?
Do you notice a familiar signal—tight shoulders, foggy thoughts, a dip in energy? What have you outgrown—even if part of you still wanted to make it work?
What did it take to finally release it?If you were to get radically honest today… where might you be out of alignment?
What would your body say if it had the mic?
Sometimes, just naming what’s off is the first act of coming back into your lane.
